What....fan art in my DA gallery? Well I never but I just had to. Though there a few little spoilers for Madoka Magica in the description so yeah.

I've been watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica recently. Well watching it as it comes out each week and it's probably one of the best anime I've seen in a long time. Well it helps that I'm a fan of the studio and I'm a sucker for things with magic in. And I haven't lost interest in it yet like I usually do which is a pretty good sign methinks.
A good part of that is probably the characters and the character designs. This madame here (Miki Sayaka) is probably my favourite but then again I adore sword users usually (not katanas though). Episode seven made me double sure that Sayaka was my favourite...though knowing my luck something bad's gonna happen next episode or something along those lines. Those last few minutes were...woah man woah. I always seem to like the ones that turn berserk for some reason.

Spoilers end here

This one is a mix of marker (armour, boots, some hair detail and parts of the skirt), gouache (gold details, blood including some high velocity splatter. I hope I haven't made it too bloody but it was so fun to do and part of the border), ink (the black parts of the environment) and watercolour (everything else). I also used quite a bit to create the background effect. I kinda wanted it to look a little glass like and I think the salt kinda worked well for that.

Sayaka Miki and Madoka Magica belong to Magica Quartet and all the people involved in that.
The artwork however is mine.

Yeah, or some reason berserkers are incredibly fun... now I'm going to have to check it out.
I like the details and the mixture of effects-- and the complicated silhouts in the foreground, too.

Is it just me or have we not had a comic page in a while?
